OUR ASOCIATION

PhysioTraveler has been created by four french physiotherapist, in november of 2017. The aim of the association is to promote the physiotherapy around the world, especially in the countries where the health offer is weak.
​
This is why we create a privileged relationship with structures having a rehabilitation service, and permit to graduated physiotherapist to realise project, responding to needs and reality on site.

In this structures, we act in varied ways :

Support the various development plans ;

Send physiotherapist in pre-defined project ;

Implementation of courses between the health-care providers ;
-
If necessary, a provision of equipment.
OUR CURRENT PROJECTS

We work with a rehabilitation structure In Garango, in Burkina Faso. The burkinabé physiotherapist, Julien Hylienga, worked there since 1983. The building is composed of several areas, to take in charge mainly children, and some patient with neurological pathology. This structure is leaded by the NGO Ocades Caritas.

Since 2019, we are also in contact with the Togo’s association AKITO. They aim to develop courses for graduated physiotherapist in their country, and promote the rehabilitation to the population. Thanks to PhysioTraveler, a group of two belgium volunteers came in Togo during november of 2019. They acted in two different healthcare structures, and in the paramedical school of Lomé.

Furthermore, we also develop a partnership with two west side of France’s associations, in the cities of Brest and Nantes. The aim is to develop the rehabilitation of people who have no currently rights in the french healthcare. In most of the case, they are from a stranger migrant population. Volunteers physiotherapist from the center of Nantes and Brest, take them in charge in their office.
